Hi,

NOW which is available on our website is upto date and hence requires no patches.. As and when any patches are required we would be informing clients on how to do it..
i installed it around 2 months back. If i had not recd any email asking for upgradation, Can i assume it is upto date ?

There was an update around last week of March, so I suppose that won't be good enough.. This was around the time SEBI made it compulsory to have another check in terms of image and 2FA questions...

Uninstall the present version and install the new file from our website... Shoot us an email to [email protected] if you need any help installing, we can take you on remote and do it for you...

One of the ways to avoid this risk is to trade f&O stocks, because these stocks are on f&O there is no circuit up or down for them... So you are guaranteed an exit on the same day.. there are almost 230 stocks on f&O today...
Cheers..
Thanks. That helped a lot.

I think I have come across such special stock list in your website ...you probably have carefully chosen these stocks for your clients to avoid risk

http://www.zerodha.com/download/index.html

at the bottom there is an excel..intradaymargin.xls ...it has almost 235 stocks in the list ..you are providing leverages on these stocks.

I believe these are non risky stocks

By the way how do I check whether my chosen stock belongs to a f&O stock ? I don't find any relevant menu for this in site http://www.nseindia.com/ . Can you please help in this regard ?

I am talking about stocks..

For eg when Satyam melted, there was no circuit on satyam, it came down almost 70% that day... The reason Satyam had no circuit was because it was a f&o scrip... So stocks which also have f&O scrips don't have circuits
Got a good Info from you....... Just wondering that you are so experienced.

That's why I think last month INDRAPRASTHA GAS LTD (IGL) plunged more than 40%. That day I was thinking that where was the circuit breaker gone!!!! :p

Thank you.... :)

@ Zerodha,

I have a query, ICICI Bank is giving out it's dividend payout on 31st May. So If I buy today (30/05/2012). Will I get dividend?

If I get dividend, I am planning to buy today and then sell out after getting the dividend. is it possible ?

Sachin,
Two issues I am observing..

  1. Normally at morning time around 8:15 if I try to login to Nest Trader 3.10.57.96 I get following error

User cannot login.Reason:Disconnected from Nest System" .At same time I can open NOW
  2. I am unable to see Top N Securities in Nest Trader.
  3. Also when I signout from Nest , it takes lot of time to exit.(Now exit is fast as compared to Zerodha Nest Trader use for Commodity)

Any workaround / patch / new version for the above issues ?

Thanks,
Raju

Hello Raju and other users of Nest trader, can you give a feedback on Nest trader ? How is it compared to NOW? Computer resource usage, charts etc. Is it possible to have multiple "Snap To" quotes etc. Does it disconnect as often as NOW ??
