@ Zerodha,

Can we transfer shares from our Demat to another persons Demat?

I mean, as we transfer funds from our bank accounts, do NEFT etc from one bank a/c to another, say to my friends a/c. Is it possible to transfer/gift shares the same way from our Demat to friends Demat a/c seamlessly?

If yes, then what is the procedure?
Yes you can, dp instruction booklet is similar to cheque book, mention the other party where you want to transfer and submit it to your DP..
Can't it be done online? Such as we do fund transfers from ours bank. Is there any way to transfer Shares online?

Technologically possible. But legally not. You can transfer to DP. Not to a friend. This is what I found by googling this some time back.

To transfer to DP, go to bulk transfer setup on NSDL/CDSL website. This can be done after you have sold the shares in the market.

Zerodha,

I want to know the Margin needed for carrying.......for.......

1.Short 5200CE & Short 5200PE.
2.Short 5200CE & Buy 5300CE.

If I trade this separately, how will it get clubbed at EOD.

I hv never Shorted Option. Hence very apprehensive. :)

Hi Zerodha

Can I modify / Edit stop loss order ?

Does the old order remain inactive during modification ?
yes you can. It is same as modifying normal order. Press F3 and then click on modify button. Then press enter to confirm.

No, old order doesn't remain inactive during modification.

Then one has to submit DP Instruction Slip by hand or by post/courier. I think there is no online facility or is there any? Please confirm

No, old order doesn't remain inactive during modification.
That means there is a possibility of old stop loss execution while I'm editing/modifying.

Also if the volatility is high then old and new stop loss both can be executed.

the reason why I asked is I was planning to make a trailing stop loss order manually ....but it seems its risky.
