I think the Problem is not due to NOW coding but processor and broadband connection quality. I used to face a lot of problems when i used intel core-2-duo processor but things have improved a lot on migrating to i5 processor.

The connection drops frequently due to quality of broadband used and one need not logout and re-login. One only needs to reconcile thru the Menu - Preferences > User settings > General, check the 'Prompt on Reconciling' box and click on 'Reconcile' button. This will bring back the day's orders and trades to your orderbook and tradebook.

regards.

The reconnection in not the end to all woes.
Please read my post on top.
And so I made a point to login again if I have to do a trade or otherwise.

Hi a1b1trader

I faced similar problems earlier, namely
1. painful login and logout process (entirely taken care of with new processor)
and
2. frequent disconnect and reconnect (still continues courtesy my broadband provider but reconciling ensures that my orders and trades are shown again in the orderbook and tradebook)
I also used to blame NOW for my woes earlier but have realised now that the softwares these days demand better processing capacity - that is how the hardware and software manufacturers will keep earning. :)

regards

HI sachin

Last year when i spoke to you regarding cash future hedging you said it could be done with ZERODHA then when i was about to open the account you said 30 % margin has to be brought in cash

Again after reading the horrific performence of NOW online i gave up the Idea of trading with you guys as trading with edelweiss was not so expensive either

now that you people are migrating to same software i use , i though of again opening an account i was ready to pay the unjustified 30 % margin you were asking and sent a email to ZERODHA AS i read thread you people are ready to provide margins like any other broker ( which you have replied in this thread )

NOW the reply i get from MR bharath is that when i buy stocks i cant sell futures same time as the stocks will come in my DP two days later so how can i do cash future arbitrague now which you said i could have done last year with ZERODHA

If dont get Margin on real time basis to sell future how are you like any other broker providing margins your software might be like other brokers but your system is not if understand correctly from Mr Bharath's Email

If i might have not understood correctly kindly explain are you providing margins like other brokers or are you making your own margin rules

As it is you have stated that above in reply to Mega pixel that DP business is just 1 % ( so those one percent are there or not is not important )

Now isnt It funny that i will buy a stock Today and hedge it two days after when it might be up or down 15 % when we really dont let the postions open for even 5 seconds

I am not arguing here about margins as others have done but i would suggest instead to giving people vague replies and arguing with them kindly correct your system

What zerodha meant is that since DP business is 1 %, it just don't make great business sense to do it themselves, it is always better to leave it to people who do it better.

off course the question still remains if ILSF are good at it, the customer relations part i meant

@ Zerodha

Today NOW hanged 4th time (later it went to 6 times and also went to "MANY" efforts to log-in) and in latest scenario, I could not square-off my winning trade which later resulted (resulting) (later actually resulted) in a loss. Whats happening bro ........ Whats the use when we take a position, it gives us return and when the time comes for squaring-off the position, we cannot, just due to the problem from NOW platform .....

The same happened to me in NOW several times before but I never even tried to tell you, but if this problem is going such frequent, then its a matter of concern ......

Do Something Bro ........

Will Nest Trader provide Technical supports to Zerodha customers ?

you know NOW has a good technical support. I called them few times and my experience with support team was good.
