Hi Zerodha and All

I have a query on SL order.

When I want to sell a stock if it touche 100 rs. . then my Tr. price will be 100 rs. and Price will be 99.5 rs. and order will go to the market when price touch 100 rs. and trade will close on 99.5 rs .

Now the question : if we place a SL order of same trade with Tr. price of 100 and Price also 100 rs ( not 99.5 rs .) then will trade close on 100 ?????

Is this possible that Tr. Price and Price of SL window are same ???

thanks in advance
Just the senario, market is at rs 100, your sl order gets activated and validated and then is sent to the exchange, this takes time dos,nt it, in the mean time what happens to the stock if it was moving down, it would have gone to 99.8, 99.75 or even to 99.5, your order remains unexcequted till the stock comes back to 100.

Zerodha,

Any plan of Margin against DP holdings in near future?

Also can we expect BSE & NSE trading in Zerodha trader next week?
Yes margin against DP is available,

Presently we can't give an online model and ask our clients to manually pledge the shares which might be cumbersome...

Once we move to Zerodha trader, we will give you an online module similar to a lot of other established brokers..

Hoping to have it next week, we had some issues with the leased line connectivity.. It is very frustrating to be in the place we are, when you know there are delays happening which is unfortunately not under our control... :)

When you choose the trigger and limit as the same price, you can miss out on prices sometimes because by the time the order goes to the system the price might be lower..

I'd advise you to always use SL-M for this, that is if you are not trading huge quantities...

If you use SL, then keep a few ticks gap between trigger to limit, so that there is a guarantee of execution..

Is there any effort going on to improve backoffice software ?

Please do something to improve backoffice. Please pay attention to improve backoffice software.

Here are some of the features I would love to have

(1) backoffice should be opened from any device...desktop pc , laptop or mobile devices

(2)download Profit / Loss summary report ( not volume analysis) for Equity segment for capital gain/loss

(3)there should be an option to download all contract notes as separate files.

If you are trying to sell stocks which are in your demat and placing order as CNC and getting this error, this means it is not in your demat.. If you buy shares on Monday, tuesday it will show in your t1 holding but on wednesday it won't show anywhere because it is the settlement day.. So if you try selling on wednesday, you will not be able to ...
