Hi Guys

Those who are experiencing slow data intake by Amibroker recently should export their data in 1 minute or higher timeframe and reimport it in to Ami.,

(9:15 to 3:30) 375 minutes per day x 20 ticks (3 sec. refresh) x20 days x 12 months creates 18,00,000 quotes per scrip per year. Those having 1/2 sec. refresh will have more. That may be making Amibroker sluggish.

I shall appreciate if any users experiencing sluggishness try this solution and revert here. I have been exporting and reimporting data every month (due to some other reasons) so may be I never experienced sluggishness.

as i trade in nifty future only , so ill be deleting the expired contracts ..and i am using 1 sec as refresh so till 2day i didnt face any problem..

Dear Uday,

Snap.xls and Snap1.xls are two different files aren't they? There is a difference of 1. Your formula in RTT is looking for Snap1.xls and it is not getting it.

Thanks for your effort to help traders like us with this utility.
I have the following queries with regard to google RT data.

1. whether new symbols have to be added in the URL given i.e "http://finance.google.com/finance/info?client=ig&q=NSE:IDFC,NSE:ACC"

2. whether new symbols have to be added from row 8 onwards also apart from the above url.

3.what is RTTIGER.xlsm , in point 7 of the setup instructions , you have said to change Ami database and click 'Start RT Data'.

what i infer from the setup instructions is as follows :

open both RT google and RTTIGER- Change database path in both-insert symbols in URL and row 8 onwards in RTGOOGLE and from row 7 onwards in RTTIGER, and start RTDATA in both RTGOOGLE and RTTIGER to see charts in amibroker.

Pls let me know whether my interpretation of the help file is wrong .

as u pointed snap1.xls i have justed removed 1 from the formula so i am getting this ,,as it sunday i think i m getting zero as values ...

this error i am getting when i back fill from import wizard /import ASCII..

as in data base setting i have done as tick data but after i press ok for error i am getting EOD data which u can see in above picture..

Point 7..... which source page? You are reading between lines.

What is your data source? You have to configure step by step for your data source. I would not have written 20 pages if it could be explained in two lines.

You are getting zeros because your formula is looking at wrong cells. Look into Snap.xls and give correct cell references in the formula. For example Is your open interest in column V? Your scrip name is in column B. What cell ref. have you given in Trading Symbol column?

bcoz
i personally asked josh sir help in pm for tradetiger setup and sir helped me taking my team viewer and gave more than 4 hour's of his time to rectify the problem and even to teach me as a good teacher untill i showed him how to do it properly.:clapping:and even learned alot about his trading style which we can call as kiss (keep it simple silly/stupid) no words for him just HATS OFF SIRR ..thank you very very much:thanx:
and he will be close for me as a good person of Tj forum ... if i worte any thing wrong plz forgive me sir

Thanks. I finally managed to get things working by reinstalling :clap:

I am guessing it had something to do with permissions. The only thing I did differently was to NOT make my folders PRIVATE.
