Arnav , you are doing a great job, thanks for posting your option strategies and explaining them, this could be more simpler if you post 2 trades at one time
like buying a call or put / selling them / buying one and selling the other

like stangle or stradle trades as one trade

and then post another pair as second trade

I am an option trader too but don't know much about different statagies , its very nice to learn from guys like you

plzz keep on posting your strategies and updates thanks :)

i think its better to start different thread for each type of strategy. also when you first post the strategy, mention the objective, max profit, max loss, max profit point (nifty), max loss point, hold period , exit strategy. this helps others to evalate the risks and take appropraite decision on their own. also try to reduce number of positions in one trade ... this is to save on the margin

hi , there is a big problem in this statergy
you are selling

selling 1 lot 4400 put at 215
buying 2 lot 4100 put at 87 * 2( 175)

net credit = 215 - 175 = 40

Rs 2000 credit

in case in nifty closes at 4100 what will happen
4400 - 4100 = 300
and 4100 put u bought will be worth less and ur have recieved a credit
for 4400 put is 215 so (215 - 300) = -85
and 4100 put loss is -175

total loss is (175 + 85) = 260 = Rs 13500 if nifty closes on 4100 and this is a
failure method .
Loss is huge and profit is very very less. so avoid it

I think you are mistaken ....
I never said we have to sell 4400 put and buy 2 4100 Puts...

I said the exact opposite ? i.e

Buy 100 4400 Put
Sell 200 4100 Put...

Hope u dont have any other doubts ..

Yup True we have to safeguard against very big crashes... thus i try and keep
changing my strategies according to market conditions...

Like i have converted the 4600 and 4300 Puts strategy into 4400 and 4100 Puts just to protect my downward risk cause i was a little bearish on the market....

Dear arnav, good job by u. But, i still miss clarity. I think ur strategy is purely based on mathematical calculation. If that is the case y dont u give the formula, the result ie max profit/loss and if strategy fails remedy to rectify it. Am i clear?
