Updates and my comments:

1. My second account finally got activated yesterday.
2. ODIN was down twice today during market hours. Got fixed in 30 mins. I had my pending orders in place (+ position was in favor) and hence didn't affect me much. Although it did take toll on my mental balance
3. This is the 3rd time ODIN stopped working in the last week with RK. After todays incident I called RKG Mumbai office. They have told me they have taken steps to fix and problem should get resolved by Monday next week. Wait & watch now.
4. I don't face delayed data issues with ODIN. It does freeze once in a while. In tools menu there is an option to disconnect/reconnect to boardcast server. This works better than restarting ODIN

I am a happy customer of RK since Oct 2008. Not happy because of the problems since last 2 weeks. Hopefully things will improve. I had signed up for the low brokerage and for me makes sense to continue with RK as long as possible.

Would suggest people to hold off joining RK until the problems are fixed. I will update this thread again after watching the system next week.

For low brokerage with RKG, is there anything to trade with huge money or any terms for low brokerage?

No conditions on turnover. Thats the best part. It is flat Rs. 9/- per side per trade. Taxes additional

nitinsy, I just downloaded the account opening application form from RKG and seems they have some monthly charges for Diet Odin and software maintenance charges. Is there any idea which one you can recommend?

I am only looking to trade only F&O with RKG, since I am already having account with sharekhan for cash market.

If you are a daytrader then ODIN is the best. They charge Rs 330 per month per segment. So if you select BSE Cash, NSE Cash & NSE FnO then it will be 990/- per month

For only NSE FnO it will be 330/- per month

I trade only NSE FnO

If it is 2 segments then it is 550 and 3 segments it 770.

I guess RKG is getting a lot of business and will need to upgrade their infrastructure.

nitinsy, thanks for your patience reply, I never used ODIN before, how good it is? Is EOD Charts and live Intraday charts for NSE and Options with Indicators (EMA, Stochastic, RSI etc.) available on ODIN? How fast the ticks are?

ODIN is the second best platform I have seen. Geojit's Platinum platform was the best but didn't work out because of the brokerage

Ticks change every 3-4 seconds if you have a decent broadband connection.

Charting is not good. I won't rely on that for my trading. I use icharts.in. At 650/- it is worth it.

I have heard that Sharekhan terminal has good charting.

I too think about going with icharts.in for live intraday charts and currently using sharekhan charts with tradetiger application, but the indicators are not much clear.. thanks

When you say you won't rely on it do you mean:
1. the charting features are not good/difficult to use
2. charts do give accurate/timely data?

As long as I can see candlesticks, a couple of ma and able to draw lines on them my charting needs are fulfilled.

If I can trouble you a little more can please post a screeshot of the charting terminal/inidcators?
