Hi spiritunit,

RKG has TWO versions 1.DietOdin by Financial Technologies
and 2.Web version.
Which one are you using along with Sharekhan.Same computer
or different computer.Just want to the know the memory management.
I am using DietOdin and not tried along with Tradetiger yet, currently using only DietOdin, since I am concentrating only on F&O.

When placing stop losses you have to enter tigger and limit price both, right? RKG doesn't have market orders. I guess it doesn't make any difference when trading options because you need to do that anyway. It however, makes a difference when trading equities and futures.

How much do they charge for call and trade? In case odin doesn't work, as a backup..
Yes, for stop loss have to enter Trigger and limit price. If I feel the market is moving some direction (up or down) immediately I select the Call/Put and hit the F1 (buy) F2 (short) and hit couple of ENTER button without seeing the price and it executes within seconds. Is this Market Order?

Till now I didn't make Call and Trades (no issue so for with ODIN), what can I see on their website is,
Call and Trade facility shall be charged at Rs. 25 per call

Market order is where you dont enter the price - you select buy/sell and enter, crtl+enter.

But in come cases the values are automatically filled in. In such a case even if you hit enter, enter the order may get exectued immediately but it is not market order because if by any chance the market moves outside the values in your order then it will not get executed. But in market order since the prices are not specified it will get executed.

What do you see in odin when you hit F1/F2?

@LT
Special charges

* Call and Trade facility shall be charged at Rs. 25 per call
* Physical copies of contract note shall be charged at Rs. 30 per contract. Courier charges extra
* *Service Tax extra as applicable
For call and trade is it Rs.25/call + brokerage (rs.9/lot) right?

When I press F1/F2, the order form comes prefilled details with the latest bid price and yes, as you said, if market moves then it will be in pending. So, If I keep the bid price area blank, then will it execute at any current price?

Hi All,
This is what I found out on their site...

RK GLOBAL Charges Schedule -

  1. Brokerage Rs. 9/-* per lot
  2. Exposure Margin As prescribed by NSE or 15% whichever is higher.
  3. Software Maintenance Charges (Web Version) Rs. 99/-* per month per segment
  4. Software Maintenance Charges (Diet-Odin)# Rs. 299/-* per month per segment

I am nowhere associated with RKGLOBAL.
But due to high brokerage for options with Sharekhan (70+70) , I am thinking of opening a acct. with RKGLOBAL.But just wanted to confirm , if any of you all have experience in RKGLOBAL service ...Plz comment ...

  1. Does the ODIN client hang frequently ?
  2. How are the charts in ODIN client ?
  3. Does it work till 3:30 or do they stop some minutes before it ?
  4. Can't we buy ODIN diet cleint from the software vendor directly ?
  5. Anybody having idea , does sharekhan provide ODIN ? ...I have asked ..they said big NO to me..

Thanks,
Raju

If no Trigger or Limit price is entered then when placing a buy order the order is executed at the next available sellers price. So if nifty is at 5000 and breaks down and the next buy order is at 4495 then it gets executed at that price, if the next available order is at 4450 then it gets executed at that price

It is very dangerous when trading illiquid instruments like options since the premium varies widely especially at the start of the day. But is is perfect for trading nifty futures and nifty ATM strikes. Superfast!

I don't think you can do that. I heard RKG doesn't allow that.
