A common mistake done by traders is some time they create a position in NORMAL and square off the position in MIS or vice versa. Always check your position using Alt F6 after squaring off your position to confirm that your net position is equal.
Does it mean that we can initiate a hedge position on the same contract like we do in currency trading?

Hello VPS,
U told me that T+1 positions of futures cannot be converted to MIS in Nse Now.
Is there any other way possible that position is not converted from NRML to MIS but a client can use the extra margin for intraday.?
i mean till market is not closed that NRML position is an intraday position isn't it;)
I mean to say that the system is showing it as NRML but the margins locked is 50% till and rest is released for intraday.
hi VPS,
pls reply to the above query.
also want to know u provide covers orders for nifty and banknifty, but in the terminal cover order option for other futures are also active.
Will they work??

Hi,

Sorry for missing your query.
RMS system has certain limitations and works on predefined rules. Conversion of Normal to MIS is permissible on the same day and as you do it the margin is released. Meaning Normal is read by system as 100% margin - so it will not be possible to let Normal be treated as MIS till close.

If you wish to utilize your margin blocked in Normal then even if you liquidate that position and use margin for whole day and again create a position in Normal, it only attracts transaction charges, as our Max Cap will take care of your Per Order Charges. It is not a desired option but as of now this is the only alternative.

CO is active for Nifty and Bank Nifty as of now.

best wishes,

Yes sir, it can be used this way. Some traders take contra position in same scrip with SL, if scrip provides a directional move then SL is hit in one position and they book profit in other position.

best wishes,

@VPS

1. Is 'link to excel' possible from both your NOW and Commodities terminal?
2. How many days of data is there in commodities terminal?
3. Is real time chart available on Commodities terminal?
