They were saying, budjet day, REXIT, BREXIT

market were not producing as much risk they were saying,

simply stupidity,

Simple, we have to exit this brokers
Actually they do it for the client's safety. But pro traders who can make lots of money in these situations like today, misses the opportunity...!!!;)

That is not the right way to do business. Everyone knows what the market risks are and if they dont, then they shouldn't be trading. Brokers should not be playing nanny on days like this.

Its like selling you a car and not giving you the keys because maybe you will not be able to manage the traffic.

As it is us retail traders are up against heavy odds be it STT, Taxes, Manipulations, Bad Trading infrastructure etc etc and then something like this. Really disappointing and not expected from Zerodha.

I don't know why the hate for Z not allowing intraday trading.

I think they did the right thing today.

There is simply no need to take risk on days like this for retail traders.

Why people are crying ? There are still plenty of days to trade.

The main reason is institutional traders will be very cautious on days like these and there may not be enough liquidity.

If anyone had witnessed the swiss euro peg disaster , you would understand Z and others brokers not allowing trading.

But i do hope they allow intraday trading from monday. LOL

debatable. VIX is high and option sellers wait for such opportunities.

my crying was related with kite not working. Order placing, modifying etc.

no objection to increased margin, blocking of BO & CO. Zerodha's wish.

But, issues at login, order placement and modification = lost opportunity & cause of frustration !

And i fail to understand the relation between an event and the performance of the appilcation (kite, Pi etc). how is this related. Will high volatility event affect the application server? will it create logon issues? is there a connect...perhaps someone from Z can throw some light.

Let me share my personal experience with you all guys. Don't take it otherwise.

I am having Zerodha account from last 4-5 years (exact I dont remember)

There are so many instances when either,

1. Market watch stops or hangs or there is no fluctuations. They tell that I am having problem with my network provider.

2. After putting an order I am unable to edit it. If at all i will edit it, then there will not be any effect. If I will delete the order, still it shows pending. They tell that, this server line that server line, backup server line, they are trying to change from this server to that server.

3. If I will telephone them to square off, then I will wait for 5-7 minutes. They tell all their customer care executives are busy and that happens once in a blue moon.

4. If I refer some of my friends, zerodha map their ID with the person who has taken franchise in our area. They tell that, because my friend gave filled account opening form at the franchise office, and there is no information about my referral with them. They gave me suggestion to take franchise.

5. Some time accounts already opened, that friend of mine is started trading, But I am not getting referral benefits, because his ID is still not mapped to me. They tell this mistake happen by mistake. we shall rectify it.

Afterword actually they rectified the problem. But the problem is "should I always point out this or that to them, then only they will rectify?" That means there is no system in place.

6. I don't know how many of you have faced this issue. I have faced myself. That is if you will open chart in between 9:15:00 to 9:15:30 then sometimes these PIVOT lines don't plot correctly. They say they have never faced this.

7. One of my friend shared with me that, after opening account with zerodha, now they are getting calls and mails to open account with other brokers. From where they are getting email IDs? I dont know. I have not asked this question to them.

8. Some indicators are there in PI, but they are not in KITE. Some are there in KITE but not in PI, for example "Range bar". The truth is neither PI not KITE is a stable platform on which a trader can rely blindly.

Last but not the least:

9. It is already 3 days since I have raised a ticket and still it is pending.

How many more points I will add? Probably some of you can add more and some of you must have faced similar types of situations I have written above.

I am not against Zerodha, He is not my relative. My point is I am trading , giving my brokerage, giving my tax, so I should enjoy a system on which I can rely. Thats all.

Universal law is "which has gone up must come down".

So friends Judge me if I am wrong and tell me should I continue? ? ?

This issue has been there since Z's inception , but we should not cry on forums because Z is the only one working hard as a brokerage company.

Their reputation matters more than customers. The customers can go to hell for all they care, but one cannot speak ill about them. such is the standard they hold themselves.

Who in the right minds will do business with them , i have no idea.

So if you wish, you can cry all you want. But these issues will not go away.

This is the reality with Z, accept it or change your broker.

World over forex markets are witnessing high volatility. They are the most leveraged trading instrument. Yet, I have not heard any broker using the word "safety" to put restriction on clients' trading activities.

And imagine what will happen to liquidity if all Indian brokers start putting such restrictions in the name of "safety". Today even MIS margin was equal to delivery!!

Fine it's broker's wish and clients are free to go elsewhere. But these are thoughtless restrictions, not sensible at all, no matter how you/toadies spin it b'cos the argument against is based in logic and fact. That is why brokers who provide leverage similar to Z were operating normally today.

This is not reality- mere stupidity,

people will automatically change their broker, you don't need to tell that
